Ridgewalk is a multifunctional tool available as a standalone app and AUv3 plug-in. This software enables users to delve into sound exploration in ways previously unattainable. It allows for navigating minute details within a sample to craft an infinite soundscape or manipulate audio in real-time while capturing and responding to new input promptly.

Functioning as both a looper and granular engine, Ridgewalk utilizes a series of independent microloopers to traverse a single audio buffer. Users can record onto the buffer, overdub, revert to previous versions, and facilitate smooth transitions instantly. With the ability to adjust microloopers' size, behavior, and movement across the buffer over time, users have the freedom to redefine and reinterpret audio in real-time.

The software is strategically designed as a modular solution offering versatile applications. It seamlessly integrates into your creative process, collaborating during performances, or serves as a unique addition for enhancing your mix. Compatibility with modulators like Ableton CV or Bitwig LFOs further expands its capabilities.

Ridgewalk provides comprehensive controls:

 <li>Overdubbing: Offers traditional feedback dubbing or sidechain dubbing for compressing existing audio against new input.</li>
 <li>Layers: Each overdub creates a new layer that can be navigated smoothly, allowing for the retrieval of older audio versions.</li>
 <li>Full recall: All recorded audio is saved and reloadable after project reopens.</li>
 <li>Sample importing: Instead of recording, samples can be directly imported.</li>

 <li>Volume controls: Independent volume trim controls for both dry and wet volume.</li>
 <li>Playback: Looper playback can be controlled separately from input and recording.</li>
 <li>Hold time: Looper playback can automatically pause after a defined interval, simulating reverb or delay effects.</li>
 <li>Reverse: Allows for reversing playback and reverse audio recording.</li>
</ul>

Ridgewalk also offers features like looper size adjustments, multiple microloopers coordination, drift effects, blur for creating ambience, repitching options, random movement capabilities, transport syncing with DAWs, and much more. The software truly broadens horizons for real-time sound manipulation and composition.
